About Vector
At Vector, we know our economy relies on ground transport. And without trucks on the road making connections – on track, on schedule – business falls behind, leading to lost time and investment. Our mission: maximize efficiency throughout the entire freight lifecycle with our mobile technology, designed to achieve faster connection times and deliver new insights for logistics businesses everywhere.
We’re helping yesterday’s trucking industry rethink and modernize today’s logistics environment.
About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to lead our accounting operations and establish strong processes as we continue to scale. In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee the monthly close, billing, accounts payable/receivable, and other core accounting functions to ensure accuracy and consistency across the business. You will work closely with the VP of Finance and leadership team, playing a critical role in building the foundation of our finance function and offering a clear path for career growth into a Controller role.
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong accounting background with experience in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology companies. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and a CPA is strongly preferred. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance and offers high visibility across the organization, including regular interaction with company leadership and external stakeholders.

-
Strengthen processes and controls — establish scalable accounting policies, implement best practices, and maintain compliance across reporting, tax, and audit requirements.
-
Be hands-on and solutions-oriented — roll up your sleeves to execute journal entries, billing runs, and reconciliations while driving improvements in systems and workflows.
-
Partner with finance leadership — collaborate closely with the VP of Finance on building a best-in-class finance function, providing accurate data and insight to support decision-making and long-term growth.
