A well-established, SEC-registered investment advisory firm with approximately $1.9 billion in assets under management is seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Operations to join its high-performing team. This is a dynamic leadership role focused on optimizing client service operations and supporting investment activities across a sophisticated client base.
Position Overview
The Associate Director of Operations will manage a team of client service professionals and collaborate closely with investment operations, reporting, and advisory teams. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep RIA experience, strong custodial knowledge, and a passion for process improvement and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of four client service professionals
Coordinate with custodians and external data providers to ensure seamless operations
Allocate team resources across multiple advisor locations
Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual transactions and ensure regulatory compliance
Refine and implement processes for client onboarding, maintenance, CRM workflows, and investment reconciliation
Collaborate with the reporting team to deliver timely and accurate client data

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) environment
Strong understanding of custodial platforms (Schwab and Fidelity preferred)
Proven success managing high-functioning teams
Experience with performance reporting systems and CRM/workflow tools (Addepar and Salesforce a plus)
Familiarity with private fund investing (hedge funds, private equity, real estate)
