A design firm in Chicago is looking to add a Design Coordinator to their team!
Job Description:
This individual is a liaison between regional representatives and internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience from project conception through post-installation.
Fields inquiries relating to the physical and technical aspects of products
Coordinates with internal teams to find solutions for unique products or installations
Receives, processes, and manages multiple incoming orders with unique requirements and timelines
Creates and maintains strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and designers
Creates, runs, and analyzes sales and pipeline reports
Controls project flow from project start through shipping phase by providing administrative direction for customers and various internal departments to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget
Analyzes initial project requirements
Updates internal databases as project status changes
Produces order acknowledgements for each project
Maintains and archives internal and external communication for each project using NetSuite and Outlook
Continues to communicate directly with designers and engineers after project handoff
Follows up on status of samples and drawings completed during quotation phase
Works with Architectural Project Managers to establish large project timelines and phasing
Attends weekly meetings with Production and Engineering to review time sensitive projects
Leads project intake meetings and communicates next steps and timelines with clients
Updates customers on shop drawing status and requests additional information, as needed
Communicates tracking information to customer once project has shipped
Provides support to assigned reps
Sends bi-monthly project reports to reps
Participates in showroom tours and events at the Merchandise Mart as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree within Design, Architecture, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience
Experience in a high-volume oriented role
Experience coordinating with designers, general contractors, sales team, specifiers, etc..
Excellent communication, customer service, and multi-tasking abilities
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.69 - $35.58/hr.
