Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Director of Regulatory and Accrediting Programs. As our new Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Division Quality and Clinical Operations strategy by coordinating activities related to regulatory and accrediting programs across the division. You will also serve as regulatory expert and assure ongoing compliance with federal/state regulatory expectations and accrediting organization requirements. Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the DVPQCO, you will represent the Division and facilities in ensuring ongoing compliance with the regulatory and accrediting programs of The Joint Commission, (TJC), and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA), and other applicable state and national programs.

  • You will work with facilities to drive improvement on national, state, and local publicly reported outcomes and measures, alignment, clinical variations, focused clinical reporting, and HCA supported national programs (Leapfrog, IHI, etc.).

  • You will act as a resource for CMS regulatory and outcomes monitoring programs; for federal reporting system(s); and for Joint Commission sentinel event reporting; collaborates with corporate risk and quality for such events.

  • You will plan and execute system level quarterly regulatory/accrediting standards educational programs or conference calls.

  • You will develop and maintain relevant regulatory/accrediting content is posted to share site.

What qualifications you will need:

  • MN/MSN, MPH, MHA or MBA or related area required

  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse Licensed; Florida State Healthcare Risk Manager preferred

  • Requires certification in QI/PI methodology (CPHQ, CHCQM) or other related certification

  • Minimum of least ten (10) years of experience in the acute healthcare setting plus minimum of at least five (5) years of direct quality/performance improvement experience in an acute care setting

  • Leadership experience in clinical and/or administrative role in a complex or multi-hospital system

  • Maintains a working knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local laws, licensure regulations and accreditation standard
