Economic Analyst
Work Location: Washington, DC
Kwaan Tech is seeking a highly qualified Economic Analyst to join our team in support of the Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Office of the Comptroller (C), Oversight and Data Division (ODD). The Economic Analyst will focus on analyzing consular data, identifying trends, and developing forecasts to support resource planning and program optimization. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data analysis capable of creating economic analyses, providing resource allocation recommendations, and generating visual reports to inform decision-making at the Bureau. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Core Duties:
- Compile and analyze extensive visa, passport, and consular data and metrics, providing specialized advice based on economic theory and knowledge.
- Prepare and present information on consular functions both domestically and overseas, including workload, resource data, budget, financial data, management controls, and staffing allocations.
- Develop and maintain forecasts for future consular fees, revenue, and workload demand.
- Provide analyses influencing resource allocation for the global consular enterprise.
- Analyze data and statistics to identify and report trends by understanding economic relationships.
- Conduct research and compile large datasets.
- Identify indicators affecting the visa process and forecast data accordingly.
- Assess the feasibility of various scenarios through data examination.
- Perform other duties as required by the team or assigned by CA/C leadership.
