JOB TITLE: Content Writer, Nonprofit Storytelling & Marketing
REPORTS TO: Creative Director
SCOPE OF POSITION: This role is a part-time contracted position within the Accordus team. This team member will primarily create compelling, strategic content across web, email, social, video, and fundraising channels—using AI tools to enhance creativity and impact. They will also collaborate with designers, team leads, and communications coordinators to craft nonprofit messaging that inspires action and strengthens donor engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use AI tools as creative partners, not crutches — for ideation, outlines, repurposing content, and optimization
- Write clear, persuasive, and emotionally resonant content across multiple mediums, including web, email, social media, video scripts, and fundraising campaigns,
- Translate complex nonprofit initiatives into accessible, inspiring narratives that connect with diverse audiences and motivate giving.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure messaging is both visually engaging and strategically aligned.
- Maintain brand voice consistency while adapting tone and content for different platforms and audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must have:
- Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, or marketing within the nonprofit sector or faith-based ministries.
- Strong understanding of donor psychology, nonprofit communications, and storytelling best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AI writing and optimization tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Grammarly).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate across team.
