How you make a difference
The Employee Relations Manager will be responsible for managing employee relations cases, including investigating complaints and hotline cases that may violate company policy or employment law. They will work closely with legal and compliance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ER Manager is expected to have a strong understanding of legal compliance, employment laws, and company policies and procedures, and to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of employee relations services.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage team member complaints and hotline cases to ensure compliance with employment law and company policy.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance departments to address compliance issues and investigations.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to mitigate identified employee relations issues.
- Analyze and report on employee relations trends and concerns to divisional leaders.
- Foster positive team member relations and engagement by working with HR Business Partners, managers, and team members to address issues and improve work relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources management with an emphasis on employee relations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS applications and Internet applications
- Emphasis and/or training in employee relations investigations preferred
- Corrections and/or Healthcare industry experience is a plus
Licenses/Certifications
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
