Summary
The Enterprise Application Solutions Architect will serve as the strategic lead for enterprise application administration, with a focus on the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of major COTS/SaaS initiatives. This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and integrated solutions that align with business objectives and technology standards. The architect will guide cross-functional teams through complex deployments, ensure robust vendor partnerships, and drive innovation across the enterprise application ecosystem.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technology strategies. The Solutions Architect will mentor administrators, establish architectural best practices, and ensure that enterprise applications deliver measurable value across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise COTS/SaaS solutions through its full lifecycle, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business goals.
- Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for enterprise application administrators.
- Architect and oversee integrations using IPaaS platforms (e.g., Celigo, Workato, Boomi), ensuring maintainability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, define solution roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives.
- Develop and enforce architectural standards, governance models, and documentation practices.
- Guide vendor selection, contract negotiation, and licensing strategy to ensure cost-effective and compliant application management.
- Oversee the creation of SOPs, knowledgebase articles, and support documentation to enable efficient operations and user adoption.
- Monitor application performance, usage metrics, and support trends to inform continuous improvement.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Proven ability to architect and implement enterprise-grade SaaS solutions.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, automation, and API management.
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST) and familiarity with compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in scripting, automation, and enterprise productivity tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Experience with AI-enhanced productivity platforms (e.g., M365 Copilot) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture or solution design.
- 3+ years of experience leading COTS/SaaS implementations and integrations.
- 3+ years of vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Experience with project management and service management platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Demonstrated success in mentoring technical teams and driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
