Reporting to the Environmental & Permitting (E&P) Manager, the Environmental and Permitting Senior Associate will support E&P Managers with permitting and environmental studies/compliance for renewable energy projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support development of environmental study and permitting strategies
- Assist with RFPs and review reports/permit applications
- Participate in project meetings with various teams
- Assist with project/milestone tracking and scheduling
- Support due diligence for M&A opportunities
- Participate in meetings with resource agencies
- Engage in industry groups on environmental/wildlife issues
- Travel to project sites for meetings and micrositing
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of environmental experience in related fields
- Experience with renewable projects is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of environmental regulations like NEPA, ESA
- Ability to work independently and organize tasks
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Leadership, communication, and deadline management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently or in teams
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication across diverse backgrounds
- Responsive to direction, coachable
- Detail-oriented with sound business understanding
- Willingness to travel 20-50%
Pay Range: $92,000 - $138,000 annually in California. Compensation depends on experience and other factors.
