Position Summary:

The Lead Event Cleaner plays a critical role in ensuring the stadium remains clean, safe, and welcoming before, during, and after events. This position oversees a team of event cleaners, coordinates cleaning tasks, and ensures that all areas of the stadium meet cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in leading janitorial teams in high-traffic environments.

Pay: $21.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of event cleaning staff during stadium events.

  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of designated areas.

  • Conduct pre- and post-event inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.

  • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs during events (e.g., spills, restroom maintenance).

  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any issues or shortages.

  • Train new event cleaners on procedures, safety protocols, and stadium policies.

  • Communicate effectively with the Janitorial Supervisor and other departments.

  • Maintain logs of completed tasks, incidents, and supply usage.

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of cleaning stations and equipment.

  • Promote a safe and respectful working environment for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • 2+ years of janitorial or custodial experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Experience in stadiums, arenas, or large venues preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding role; requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and outdoor weather conditions.

  • Fast-paced environment, especially during games and special events.
