Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Global Field Operations Lead to manage and scale our field operations across key maritime regions. This individual contributor role requires a blend of strategic thinking, team management, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on technical understanding. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving maritime domain awareness in service of U.S. national interests and can drive both operational execution and regional relationship development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Field Strategy

Build and manage a team of field operations specialists located globally, ensuring consistent execution of program objectives and operational excellence.

Develop regional deployment strategies, aligning local engagement and technical operations with broader organizational goals.

Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure high-functioning, mission-driven field teams.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development

Oversee relationship-building initiatives with vessel owners, captains, maritime communities, NGOs, and government stakeholders to support deployment of AI robotics camera systems.

Represent the organization in high-level meetings with global, national, and local maritime authorities to gain stakeholder buy-in and secure long-term collaboration.

Ensure all field teams maintain culturally sensitive, trust-based relationships in their respective regions.
3. Program & Project Oversight

Manage the planning and execution of field deployments, including logistics, installation oversight, timeline adherence, and risk mitigation.

Track project milestones and report regularly to senior leadership on progress, issues, and improvements.
4. Technical Support Management

Oversee field-based equipment installation and servicing operations, ensuring all technical support is delivered efficiently and in coordination with US-based engineering teams.

Works closely with the logistics team to ensure the right locations are properly outfitted.

Create and manage escalation protocols for equipment servicing, diagnostics, and repair coordination.
5. Data, Feedback & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Implement structured data collection and feedback loops from field operations to inform product and process improvements.

Collaborate with internal engineering team in product development, marketing, and analytics to ensure field insights are incorporated into strategic planning.

Evaluate deployment outcomes, monitor technical performance, and drive continuous improvement based on operational data.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in field operations, project management, or technical program leadership, preferably in maritime, defense, or rugged field environments.

Experience managing distributed field teams and working across international and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong relationship-building skills and comfort interacting with both local communities and senior stakeholders.

Technical aptitude to oversee equipment deployment and servicing in challenging environments.

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience in international field operations, community engagement, or a similar role.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including local fishermen and government officials.

Basic technical proficiency with electrical currents (e.g. using a voltmeter).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Willingness to be in a maritime environment on and around vessels.

Ability to be a self starter and work independently.

Willingness and ability to work with a global team via remote software, telecommunications, etc.
