Title: Quality Control Laboratory Technician – Weekend Night Shift
Location: 3800 West 143rd Street Cleveland OH 44111
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (4x10-hour shifts)
Job Description:
- We are seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our team during weekend night shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for performing analyses, inspections, and tests to ensure that raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products meet required quality specifications. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining compliance, supporting audits, and upholding a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify conformity with specifications.
Conduct incoming raw materials testing and record results in batch tickets and the company’s operating system.
Organize and maintain quality records, retains, and documentation for production batches and raw material champions.
Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of test results.
Maintain proper housekeeping in the laboratory and comply with all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies.
Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
Perform 5S audits or other scheduled audits.
Support all Quality Control initiatives, including One PPG programs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a two-year technical degree in Quality, Engineering, or related sciences OR three (3+) years of related work experience/training.
At least two (2) years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
