Providence is seeking a Senior Environmental Release Administrator who will be responsible for:
Defining, developing and managing the Epic environments.
Change control and communication of environment activities
Communicating environment activities between technical and application teams
Providing leadership in matters concerning the Epic environment
Performing all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Environment Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead the effort to define environment needs and requirements of the application teams
Coordinates activities to prepare environments
Serves as a liaison between technical staff, application build teams, testing team and training teams under the direction of the Manager
Identify and report issues
Manage updates and upgrades
Develop and maintain documentation of technical infrastructure; and policies and procedures
Coordinate environment downtime
Plan and manage scheduled events
Maintain refresh schedules
Release Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Upgrade activities
Scheduled maintenance activities
Receipt, tracking and application of vendor release authorizations and change orders
Provide input on enterprise change control, downtime, disaster recovery, cut-over/go-live planning and other project teams/committees as needed
Enforce and adhere to strict enterprise change control policies and procedures as well as ensure migration/validation processes are followed
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Participation in 24/7 on call rotation as needed
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to interact with technical and non-technical staff
Knowledgeable about Epic technical structure
Understand the Epic environment “big picture” and impact of different areas on the environment(s) by taking a strategic approach to project planning, operational tasks, system planning, and balancing and prioritizing short and long term requirements
Proactively identify and communicate project deliverables, milestones, tasks, resources and contingency plans. Communicates major issues promptly to management, team members and affected customer(s). Proactively facilitates document (standards, SOP, policies, etc.) initiation, reviews, status
Work with complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables and the exercise of good judgment in selecting methods and techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Works independently and manages time effectively
Makes informed decisions about where to invest efforts based on established priorities as demonstrated by: completing assignments on time; communicating with customers and supervisors regarding prioritization and target completion dates based on business need or impact
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related field, Or equivalent education/experience
Epic Data Courier Administrator within 6 months (180 days) of hire
Epic Chronicles Install Utilities within 6 months (180 days) of hire
7 years relevant IT experience.
5 years extensive experience in strategic/tactical planning.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years experience as a Systems analyst or Programmer on mission-critical, clinical information system.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
