TLDR • Remote • Yesterday

Hi! I’m Chris, Director of Marketing at TLDR.

We’re looking for a Senior Growth Marketer, Paid Acquisition to take our paid growth engine to the next level and drive meaningful growth across both our subscriber and advertiser funnels. You’ll be our paid media architect – experimenting, optimizing, and scaling campaigns while pioneering new channels and frameworks that redefine how we grow.

Who We Are

TLDR is the largest network of tech newsletters in the world, with over 7M subscribers across topics like startups, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, product, and more.

Our mission is to build the paper of record for technical fields – the trusted source people in tech rely on to understand what matters and why. With 40%+ open rates and a highly engaged audience, brands and agencies are calling newsletters the “challenger channel” and TLDR is leading the charge.

About the Role

We’re scaling fast through both organic growth and paid acquisition. This role will own all paid efforts – driving performance, testing new channels, and creating scalable systems for continuous learning and optimization.

If you’re obsessed with metrics, thrive in experimentation, and get energized by turning $1 into $3, this is for you.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and optimize campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn

  • Manage 6-figure monthly budgets, improving efficiency and ROAS

  • Build a creative and channel testing framework to optimize CAC and subscriber/advertiser growth

  • Develop high-performing ad copy and creative using AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, etc.)

  • Identify and test new paid channels (Reddit, X, TikTok, podcasts, newsletters)

  • Partner with Sales on advertiser quality feedback and with Engineering/Product for site and conversion improvements

  • Help shape overall acquisition strategy

What Success Looks Like

  • Improved CAC and ROAS across Meta and LinkedIn

  • A structured testing and creative iteration framework in place

  • At least one new paid channel successfully piloted and scaled

  • Clear reporting cadence and transparency around performance

About You

  • 3+ years in performance marketing or paid acquisition

  • Hands-on experience managing $100K+/month budgets

  • Deep expertise in Meta Ads

  • Strong analytical mindset and experimentation philosophy

  • Experience with low-ticket, high-volume B2C or eCommerce-style growth

  • Proven results: e.g., reduced CAC or improved ROAS metrics

  • Excellent communicator; thrives in fast-paced, autonomous environments

What Makes an A+ Candidate

  • You’re metrics-obsessed and fluent in testing methodologies

  • You’ve scaled campaigns at high volume, not just high spend

  • You leverage AI tools to improve creative and performance

  • You can balance analytical precision with creative experimentation

  • You’re curious, proactive, and excited to experiment

  • You have experience manager Meta and LinkedIn Ads

You’re Not a Fit If You…

  • Primarily work in paid search without significant paid social experience

  • Come from environments with ultra-high budgets (8-figure+) and rigid teams

  • Have only managed small, local, or high-ticket niche campaigns

  • Prefer waiting for direction instead of iterating independently

Why You’ll Love It

  • Own a critical growth lever at a profitable, fast-growing media company

  • Large budget + freedom to test bold ideas – no corporate red tape

  • Collaborate directly with leadership on growth strategy

  • Access to cutting-edge AI marketing tools

  • Competitive base salary plus additional performance-based compensation

  • 100% Remote Company that shares a common goal

  • Annual team offsite. In 2024 we went to Colorado. Tell us where we should go next!

  • Unlimited PTO – most team members will enjoy 2-3 weeks off per year + holidays

  • 401(k) plan

  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits with 100% paid option

  • Paid parental leave

  • Hardware stipend – we’re on Macbook Pro M3s, get a new monitor, headset, chair on us

  • Learning & Development stipend – we are a curious group that believes in learning

  • Contemporary tech stack and tools

  • Autonomy and agency to contribute to the growth of one of the largest newsletters in the world.

If you’re ready to make a tremendous impact at a bootstrapped and profitable startup, please apply. Please let us know if you need any accommodation during any part of the interview process.
