Senior IT Lab Administrator
Location : Atlanta GA [ 100% Onsite ]
Responsibilities :-
Provide day-to-day support of GLS-managed
Engineering labs in the areas of logistics, compliance,
and customer support.
A customer service approach is fundamental for this
position.
Functions as primary POC for Engineering clients as
well as a liaison to IT, Facilities, and other internal
support organizations.
Tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining detailed records in support of GLS
and Engineering processes and equipment use.
• Coordinating work efforts within the team to
manage shipping and other logistics-related
tasks.
• Delegating, tracking, and managing numerous
parallel activities with minimal supervision.
• Adhering to and helping to drive Lab Security
initiatives within Engineering Labs.
• Assisting System Administrators / Network
Engineers with any debugging that requires
hands-on work.
• Collaborating with System Administrators to
configure server computers and install
approved Operating Systems as per client
requests (cases).
• Ensuring that asset management & tracking are
conducted within labs for which he/she is
responsible.
• Maintaining Safety, ESD and ISO compliance,
including conducting audits and responding to
internal/external audit requests.
Excellent written and verbal communications
skills.
• Robust customer service skills.
• Well-versed in Windows Operating Systems and
business applications.
• Good organizational and time management
skills.
• Strong team player. Able to coordinate team
and drive projects to closure.
• Understanding of Lab power distribution
systems and cooling infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Cisco equipment and ability to
follow/troubleshoot wiring topologies.
• ISO certification program experience.
• 5+ years’ previous experience in a customer
service organization.
• Basic knowledge of Linux Operating systems
2+ years’ supervisory experience
• Experience with managing small to large
projects with a focus on timely delivery.
• Experience in supporting large-scale Windows,
Linux and Virtual environments in a lab setting.
A.S. / A.E. Degree or equivalent
• CCNA or equivalent experience a bonus
