About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Network Performance & Capacity Analysis team within the Network Services organization. This role is responsible for leading the oversight and analysis of network performance and capacity across all enterprise network assets, including circuits, devices, and services.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in proactively identifying performance constraints, capacity risks, and service degradation across the network infrastructure. This includes monitoring telecom circuits, network devices, and service delivery metrics to ensure optimal performance and scalability. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep technical understanding of network architectures, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive resolution and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in implementing network security policies across routers and firewalls
Manage production networks including Internet Protocol backbone, data centers and edge pops across the globe
Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services
Identify gaps, risks and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them
Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network
Investigate and remediate network capacity related issues
Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis
Deliver comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval
Mentor and train network operations team in the installation, configuration, and maintenance
Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Strong foundational knowledge of enterprise network architectures, including telecom circuits, routing, switching, and performance metrics
4+ years of Demonstrated experience in network performance analysis and capacity planning across large-scale environments
2+ years Proficiency in leveraging modern observability and analytics tools to monitor, correlate, and visualize network data (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Kafka).
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines that aggregate and normalize telemetry from diverse platforms and vendors
Experience in integrating data across multiple systems to enable predictive insights and automated responses to performance anomalies
Familiarity with AI-driven methodologies and agent-based architectures to support proactive engineering and autonomous operations
Self-driven and adaptive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and rapid adoption of emerging technologies and tools
Understanding of compliance, lifecycle management, and operational hygiene for network assets and monitoring platforms
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams to drive modernization initiatives and improve service delivery
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
