Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Web Marketer to focus on execution and optimization of the company marketing website. This role will be responsible for implementation of web strategy and digital objectives. The ideal candidate is a tactical leader with a strong background in web content management, digital marketing principles, personalization, and SEO/AEO, with a proven ability to translate business goals into effective and engaging web experiences. Reporting to, and working alongside, our Director of Digital, this is a self-directed role and you will lead the charge on ensuring we implementing a web refresh and CMS migration.
Job Responsibilities
Web Strategy Execution
- Own genedx.com strategy implementation, ensuring it supports business goals, delivers value to users, and reflects the brand effectively.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and Marketing to enhance the user experience and performance of the website.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the web function, coordinating across Marketing, Design, Development, Product, and other internal teams.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, contractors, and tool providers to ensure project execution and operational efficiency.
Content & Experience Management
- Implement web content strategy and feature enhancements, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Serve as the gatekeeper and brand steward for website content, supporting internal teams with content creation, updates, and publishing using established best practices.
- Maintain a content management system (CMS) to ensure accurate and efficient publishing is always possible.
Web Platform Management
- Serve as a key stakeholder as it relates to the web tech stack and technologies needed to elevate the digital experience (i.e. CMS, personalization tech, data tech, etc), ensuring it meets the needs of marketers, content creators, and developers.
- Partner with IT, Product, and Compliance teams or external partners when needed to drive platform enhancements to support scalability, governance, and content reuse, ensuring website meets security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evolve workflows, permissions, and taxonomy structures to optimize publishing efficiency and accuracy.
- Support discovery and planning for any future platform improvements, integrations, or CMS enhancements.
SEO/AEO & Performance Optimization
- Optimize website content for search engines to drive visibility, discoverability, and organic traffic growth.
- Conduct keyword research and content audits to identify opportunities for improvement and increased engagement.
Reporting & Analytics
- Provide regular operational reporting on web performance, user engagement, demand-generation outcomes, and content effectiveness to marketing and leadership stakeholders

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in web marketing, web product management, and/or digital marketing.
- Expertise with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, Webflow) and digital tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Conductor, Pendo). A big plus if worked within Contentful and/or Conductor platforms.
- Strong understanding of web standards, UX/UI best practices, personalization, SEO/AEO/SEM principles, and analytics tracking.
- Familiarity with privacy and accessibility compliance (e.g., GDPR, WCAG).
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical, creative, and business teams.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to be self-directed.
- Proven ability to lead web projects and initiatives from concept through execution.
