A certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) specializing in sleep medicine plays a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing sleep disorders.
As a ARNP with our team, you will have the opportunity to engage with patients daily, ensuring compliance with prescribed therapies and improving overall outcomes. Working from the comfort of your own home, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists to enhance patient care and drive innovation in respiratory medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conducting comprehensive sleep evaluations, including detailed sleep histories
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sleep apnea.
- Therapy Management: Manage therapies, including CPAP/BiPAP devices, to improve sleep quality and address underlying sleep issues.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Providing patients with education on sleep hygiene, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options to promote better sleep health.
- Collaboration and Coordination of Care: Collaborating with sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Follow-Up and Monitoring: Managing follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and timely medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and improve the delivery of sleep medicine services
- Primary Care prescription review for patients.
Requirements
- Current NP license with APRN certification
- Board certification in sleep medicine or equivalent specialized training
- Current license in Florida with full practice authority
- 3+ years of experience in sleep medicine or related field and/or 3,600 hours of supervised experience
- Experience with telehealth delivery preferred
- Excellent communication skills across digital environments
- Ability to build rapport with patients remotely
- Comfort with sleep medicine technologies and EHR systems
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills
