The Analytics Team supporting the Ads Creative, Trust & Support organization, a part of Amazon Advertising, seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team in New York City. This role will focus on the design, development, and management of analytical tools and reporting as an end-to-end owner. These solutions will help accelerate our efforts to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our partner teams who service our advertising customers.

We produce analyses and reporting to surface opportunities to engage with customers, track those engagements, measure the impact, and share actionable insights with senior leaders to inform business decisions and programs. ACTS leadership, regional and country managers, Program Managers, and partner teams, such as Finance and Product, will serve as your main customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Design and develop automated, user-friendly measurement pipelines, reports, and dashboards to support internal partners.

• Recommend new metrics, techniques, and strategies to enhance customer experience.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.

• Enable data-driven decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources, presenting it in a clear and actionable format.

• Work with engineering and product teams to identify product gaps and trends.

• Manage the request intake process, prioritizing tasks in partnership with stakeholders.

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform key business decisions.

• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
