Description
OVERVIEW:
Reviews and evaluates project requests, determines appropriate approach, and coordinates completion of project work and schedules.
Manages external vendor relationships.
Utilizing EHC decision support systems and other tools, performs financial analyses to assist management/leadership in short and long range financial planning.
Manages internal applications, databases and decision support systems.
Utilizes various computer software programs, patient/billing information systems, and decision support systems to pull data and perform statistical analysis of data.
Proactively review and report on product line contribution margin and payer reimbursement changes for EHC.
Provides analysis with recommendations to decision makers.
Analyze new coding initiatives and charge masters on an annual basis to ensure appropriate contractual rates are established.
Maintains data infrastructure of decision support systems on a timely basis.
Accurately loads and maintains contracts in decision support systems and performs analyses using modeling, forecasting and statistical analysis methodologies.
Completes both routine and ad-hoc analyses to support the Market Services Department, other EHC entities and leadership.
Develops reimbursement contracting standards.
Actively participates in various committees that address opportunities to enhance EHC's operating margin.
Assume a lead role in decision support implementation projects.
Train and mentor employees in the functionality, navigation, execution and reporting of decision support systems.
Communicates effectively with users to ensure an accurate understanding of the data/information being reported.
May supervise analysts.
Additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or health related field.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
An advanced educational emphasis in quantitative methods or statistics is preferred.
Three years experience in compiling and analyzing data preferably in healthcare environment.
Extensive knowledge of and experience with computer software applications and databases.
Must be proficient in Access and Excel.
Demonstrated experience with report writing, database construction, and maintenance and spreadsheet analysis.
