About the Role
This role will oversee the entire reporting portfolio, you will ensure alignment with company objectives by managing the overall reporting of the portfolio, scalability, and performance. You'll collaborate with business leaders to define goals, track project performance, and provide insights for strategic decision-making across Insurance. Additionally, you'll drive continuous improvement in processes, ensuring robust governance and compliance with industry best practices.
This position will be hybrid in Alpharetta, GA – 3x a week
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various stages of the project to provide insights into performance, risks, and opportunities.
Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports that highlight key metrics, progress, and strategic insights for senior leaders.
Decision Support: Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making at each gate, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the stage-gate process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting Portfolio Management: Manage a reporting portfolio to ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
Strategic Alignment: Provide business leaders with the right information to assess and prioritize projects that align with strategic goals.
Scalability Management: Manage the size and scalability of the reporting portfolio to ensure optimal performance.
Goal Definition: Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to define reporting portfolio goals and success criteria.
Performance Tracking: Track and analyze the performance of projects within the reporting portfolio, making adjustments as needed.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with business initiatives.
Financial Monitoring: Monitor spending across the reporting portfolio. Provide insights and recommendations to maintain financial control and support strategic decision-making.
Performance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on reporting portfolio performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in reporting portfolio management processes, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure robust internal governance by overseeing the implementation and adherence to standardized processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms. Maintain compliance with internal policies and industry best practices to support transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Mi nimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio reporting or a related field.
Proven track record of managing large and complex portfolios.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS in Finance)
PMP (Project Management Professional) is required .
Demonstrated ability to implement standardized processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
Demonstrated skills in identifying and mitigating risks, monitoring spending, and providing strategic insights for financial control.
Familiarity with risk management frameworks and financial analysis tools is preferred.
Proficiency in using project management software and reporting tools such as PowerBi, Tableau, Excel, is beneficial.
Excellent ability to collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to define goals, track project performance, and present comprehensively.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Prince 2, PMP, or Agile) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is advantageous .
