- The Copy Supervisor at GeneDx is a senior-level copy expert with a passion for crafting high-quality, conversion-driven copy across digital and advertising channels. This role focuses on creating clear, compelling, and brand-aligned messaging that brings complex scientific concepts to life through patient- and provider-focused storytelling. With a strong background in digital marketing and advertising, the Copy Supervisor ensures every piece of copy is creatively sharp, technically accurate, and optimized for performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Write and edit copy across a variety of formats, including paid digital ads, display banners, social media campaigns, email marketing, and web copy
- Maintain and enforce brand voice and tone across all written materials
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility of clinical and scientific messaging for diverse audiences
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact creative
- Review copy submitted by freelancers or internal partners, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to guidelines
- Work within creative briefs to bring targeted messaging to life across customer journeys
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Serve as the go-to resource for editing, proofing, and refining copy at all stages of production
- Stay current on digital copy best practices, especially in performance marketing and healthcare advertising
- Support campaign execution with expertly written copy that drives engagement and action

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field required
- 7–10 years of experience in copywriting, preferably in an in-house or agency setting
- Demonstrated expertise in writing for digital marketing and paid advertising channels
- Healthcare, biotech, or life sciences experience is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) guidelines is a bonus
- Strong portfolio showcasing impactful, high-quality copy across multiple digital formats
- Proven ability to simplify complex or technical information without sacrificing accuracy
- Meticulous attention to grammar, formatting, and compliance requirements
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback while maintaining deadlines and quality
