Fixed Asset Accountant (Temporary – Immediate Start)
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: Temporary Assignment (Immediate Start through the end of January 2026)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Fixed Assets and experience with Oracle Fixed Assets Module. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements, and supporting timely reporting for both US and Canadian operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and process fixed assets and assets on loan within the Oracle Fixed Asset Module.

Calculate depreciation for financial statements and internal reporting.

Reconcile detailed fixed asset records with corporate financial accounting records.

Ensure timely and accurate accounting for capital items by collaborating with fixed asset owners.

Prepare period-end reconciliations using Blackline software and quarterly audit schedules.

Create intercompany invoices for transfers of fixed assets.

Prepare and post journal entries, including reclasses to/from equipment in process accounts.

Ensure timely month-end and quarter-end closings in accordance with reporting deadlines.

Support compliance with US GAAP and SOX internal control requirements.

Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).

3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on Fixed Assets.

Strong working knowledge of Oracle Fixed Assets Module (required).

Experience with Blackline reconciliation software preferred.

Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.

Advanced Excel skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
