Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to support large-scale client projects with a growing emphasis on the manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional with under 5 years of post-qualification experience who brings strong commercial contracting skills and a willingness to work across industries. The successful candidate will handle high-volume contract workflows, collaborate closely with client legal teams, and help shape contractual strategies in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, distribution agreements, SaaS agreements, supply contracts, licensing agreements, and service agreements.

  • Provide clear, business-focused legal advice on contract terms, risk mitigation, and compliance.

  • Support clients in manufacturing-related industries (any sector with manufacturing operations), with flexibility to assist in other areas as needed.

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to align contractual terms with operational and strategic business goals.

  • Assist with contract management processes, including database oversight, template development, and potential CLM system implementation.

  • Stay up to date on relevant industry regulations, trends, and best practices impacting manufacturing and commercial contracting

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • JD or equivalent, with active bar membership in good standing.

  • 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with in-house exposure.

  • Strong track record drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume workloads efficiently.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the manufacturing sector (any industry background with manufacturing exposure).

  • Background supporting large-scale commercial contracting projects.

  • Familiarity with CLM systems and contract operations.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a corporate environment.
