Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer with experience in the telecom and/or utilities industries. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional with under 5 years of post-qualification experience who brings strong commercial contracting skills, familiarity with industry-specific agreements, and ideally experience implementing Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems. The successful candidate will support large-scale contracting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work with stakeholders in fast-moving, regulated environments.
Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor/service agreements.

Provide legal and commercial guidance on contract terms, risk allocation, and compliance with telecom or utilities regulations.

Collaborate with client teams to manage high-volume contracting workflows in support of operational and strategic initiatives.

Participate in or lead CLM implementation projects, including template development, contract migration, and workflow optimization.

Support procurement, sales, and operations teams in achieving business goals while mitigating legal and regulatory risks.

Stay informed on regulatory requirements impacting telecom and utilities industries.
Minimum Qualifications:

JD or equivalent, with active bar membership in good standing.

2–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in-house or with law firm clients in telecom or utilities.

Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, and distribution agreements.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with CLM systems and contract operations.
Preferred Skills:

Prior work in a telecom or utilities company’s in-house legal department.

Understanding of telecom or utility-specific procurement processes and regulatory considerations.
