Job Overview
As a Legal Operations Associate (Onboarding Specialist) at SimpleClosure, you will play a critical role in guiding new clients through one of the most important transitions in their business lifecycle: dissolution. You’ll act as the primary point of contact during onboarding, ensuring clients feel supported while navigating complex legal and regulatory requirements. This role blends client-facing communication with operational execution — reviewing legal documents, coordinating with regulators, and ensuring each step of the closure process is accurate and compliant.
Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients, guiding them through the onboarding process and ensuring accurate data collection.

Review and interpret legal and regulatory documents (e.g., incorporation records, state forms) to support clients in providing correct information.

Host welcome calls and address client questions with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.

Coordinate with state agencies, regulators, and legal counsel to ensure timely and compliant account closures.

Maintain organized, accurate records of client dissolution activities and communications.

Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Legal, Product) to ensure smooth processes and improve client experience.

Capture and refine workflows to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a legal operations, paralegal, or client-facing role involving legal documents or compliance work.

Comfort reading and interpreting legal/regulatory documents (JD not required, but legal literacy essential).

Strong communication skills — able to explain complex processes in clear, approachable language.

Professional phone and videoconferencing presence; empathetic and client-focused.

High digital literacy; comfortable using SaaS platforms and learning new tools quickly.

Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable in managing multiple clients/projects.

Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment is a plus.
