Responsibilities

  • Design & Architecture: Architect and build scalable, reliable, and secure full stack solutions spanning backend services and frontend applications

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend and Backend Engineers in an agile environment to deliver new features and enhancements

  • Code Quality & Reviews: Conduct code reviews, ensure high-quality, performant, and maintainable code across both backend and frontend stacks

  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor engineers in technical best practices, architecture decisions, and career growth

  • Performance & Security: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and security concerns across the stack

  • Lifecycle Ownership: Own product lifecycle end-to-end — from ideation and design through development, deployment, and operations

  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, advocate for engineering excellence, and introduce tools, frameworks, or practices to improve developer productivity

  • Technical Debt: Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt to ensure long-term maintainability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields

  • Experience:

    • 6+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with deep knowledge of both backend and frontend technologies

    • At least 2 years in a senior/lead role driving technical decisions and mentoring teams

  • Backend Expertise:

    • Strong experience with service implementations in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Elasticsearch

    • Experience with high-scale data systems and designing RESTful APIs

  • Frontend Expertise:

    • Expert-level proficiency with JavaScript, React, and modern frameworks

    • Strong grasp of state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query) and frontend performance optimization

    • Hands-on experience of Functional Programming in JS, ES2015+, React, NodeJS, Git, Webpack, TDD, Object-oriented JS, Jest, Tailwind, Typescript

    • Experience implementing responsive, accessible, and visually appealing UI

    • Solid understanding of browser rendering behavior, performance tuning, and debugging tools

  • General Skills:

    • Strong algorithmic and problem-solving ability

    • Understanding of system design, architectural patterns, and performance optimization

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and DevOps workflows

    • Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities

  • Mindset:

    • Curiosity, drive to learn new technologies, and enthusiasm for delivering at high velocity

    • Ability to work independently while also enabling team success
