The range for this role is $101,000 to $146,000

Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate’s work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education.

Interested candidates must be living in or be willing to relocate to an eligible state for employment with CCM, including: AL, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MO, NC, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, or WV. Candidates located within a 40 mile radius of our Melbourne, FL or Orlando, FL office, must be willing and able to work onsite a minimum of 4 days per week.

The Job

Provides day-to-day hands-on support to the network infrastructure, servers, virtualized environment, applications, and mobile devices. Responsibilities include: network design and support of LAN/WAN operations between multiple sites and local site break/fix; network related software/hardware upgrades and patch management. Assist Helpdesk with customer issues and troubleshoot to resolution. Requires extensive, sometimes 24/7 maintenance and support, and timely responsiveness to issues and questions.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes networking environment by designing network configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing industry standards
  • Maintain a stable and reliable Cisco-centric network environment
  • Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and escalates issues – particularly WAN/LAN connections – to the appropriate vendor
  • Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
  • Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Designs and implements network redundancy and supports annual testing of the disaster recovery plan
  • Reports on network operational status
  • Contributes to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs
  • All other duties as assigned 

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting network procedures and best practices
  • Experience with network challenges associated with systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis, and system architecture design
  • Has demonstrated experience in the use of network analysis tools
  • Knowledge and experience in overlay/underlay data center technology design and implementation (e.g., EVPN, VXLAN, ACI)
  • Experience with controller-based network management tools (e.g., Catalyst Center, Nexus Dashboard)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting advanced network protocols (e.g., BGP, IS-IS)
  • Experience with cloud networking
  • Experience with network security (e.g., ACLs, VRFs, NAC, ISE)
  • Experience managing internal or client-facing projects to completion and troubleshooting clients’ technical issues
  • Detail-oriented, task-driven, with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage users in a professional manner and present technical concepts plainly to semi-technical customers
  • Desires to learn new technologies and apply them to customer use cases
  • Must be willing and able to work during and after-hours maintenance windows, which could include weekend and weekday after-hours work
  • Must be willing to work with other engineers and collaborate effectively with them
  • Must have experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and strong Command-Line Interface (CLI) skills
  • Willingness to work with alternative vendors outside of Cisco products
  • Strong Cisco skills are required

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology-related field with 1-3 years’ experience OR 5-7 years’ experience in an IT environment for non-degreed applicants required
  • Active CCNA required
  • CCNP / CCIE strongly preferred
