Description We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will act as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, and IT teams, leveraging your expertise to manage and enhance financial systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA. You will play a central role in improving processes, resolving system issues, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions. Responsibilities:
• Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Finance systems, including core accounting modules and related integrations.
• Manage system configurations, data flows, and controls to ensure smooth operations and scalability.
• Lead efforts in testing system upgrades, enhancements, and patches, including designing and executing test plans.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate results to ensure successful implementation of system changes.
• Troubleshoot finance system issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with IT to implement effective solutions.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and automate finance and accounting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources for users.
• Support compliance, audit, and internal control requirements related to financial systems. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on finance and accounting systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Fiori applications.
• Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes, such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting.
• Proven experience in leading system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders.
• Experience in process improvement and implementing system-driven efficiencies.
• Familiarity with system integrations, data flows, and internal controls.
The salary range for this position is $60/hour to $65/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
