Join our team as a financial expert to provide professional-level financial
knowledge and skills, including monitoring and analysis of all academic department operations and capital budgets.Responsibilities
Assist in the development, preparation, monitoring and analysis of the
annual operating and capital budgets for academic departments.Develop and track performance measures, recommend and facilitate
changes, and ensure compliance with college accounting and purchasing procedureProvide guidance and direction to departmental administrative staff on
finance processes, such as endowment, gift, and operating funds management including journal entries.Assist department and program chairs in preparing and managing their
department budgets.Assist the Director of Sponsored research in managing grant budgets,
financial reporting, and ensure compliance.Assist the Dean of the Faculty with faculty salary management.
Produces budget and project-specific reports and resource dashboards to
aid in department budget oversight and other administrative processesRepresent the Office of the Dean of the Faculty to collaborate and manage
capital projects, accurate reporting of capital transactions and equipment purchases, and support department in the development and implementation of their capital equipment management plans.Assist Facilities Services administration in Renewal and Repair
(R&R) projects involving academic departments.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business
administration or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in education or nonprofits, or comparable combination of education and experience; ability to work independently, accurately and with discretion; high level of resourcefulness, diplomacy, integrity and professionalism needed in all aspects of responsibilities; attention to detail and accuracy; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds; ability to work in a demanding and busy environment; critical thinking skills for providing customer service, solving problems and process improvement; skilled at navigatiPreferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education facilities organization;
experience using Banner or another Oracle-based enterprise resource
