About the Role
We're growing—and we're looking for a driven, self-motivated Account Executive to join our remote team. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for consultative selling and relationship-building.
This role will work directly with our founder, Mike, and will meet in person with him regularly at our Kensington office (weekly as needed in the beginning). This person will also travel across the U.S. 3-4 times a year for conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive New Business: Proactively identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging, and industry networking. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Consultative Selling: Lead discovery calls to uncover client pain points and tailor solutions that align with their business goals. Deliver compelling value propositions that resonate with decision-makers.
- Solution Positioning: Master the full range of Kensington Sales Group services and effectively communicate how they solve real-world challenges for public and private sector clients.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate trust and credibility with prospective and existing clients. Guide them through the sales cycle with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Market Presence: Represent Kensington Sales Group at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings (travel up to 10–20%).
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices. Be open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Sales Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a B2B sales role, preferably in consulting, SaaS, or other service-based industries. Experience selling to government or utilities is a plus.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confident delivering presentations and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, and modern sales enablement tools to manage pipelines and report progress.
- Learning-Oriented: Curious and coachable with the ability to absorb new information quickly and apply it to client interactions.
