Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for someone eager to expand their expertise in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with billing tasks, ensuring all invoices are prepared and sent out correctly.
Support accounts receivable functions, including monitoring outstanding payments and following up with clients.
Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Input and manage data related to invoices, payments, and other accounting activities.
Ensure proper processing of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze reports, leveraging tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
Operate Sage MAS 90 software for accounting tasks, ensuring data accuracy.
Contribute to general administrative tasks to support the accounting department. Requirements - Proven experience or educational background in accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
Familiarity with accounting software, specifically Sage MAS 90.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation tasks.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of invoice processing and general accounting principles.
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration.
