About The Role
We seek a results-driven Accounting Manager to strengthen our Payments Compliance Accounting team. This role involves developing a solid accounting infrastructure to support our expansion into payment processing, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing audits, and leading global market expansion.
What You Will Do
- Manage daily accounting operations related to customer funds, cash management, and general ledger for payments entities.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. money transmission laws and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements compliant with U.S. GAAP and MTL regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams for accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.
- Develop and implement accounting policies to meet regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, treasury, tax, product, and R&D teams for scalable solutions.
- Lead automation initiatives to improve reporting and system integration.
- Handle special projects and ad-hoc requests proactively.
What You Will Need
- CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification.
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in tech, fintech, or money transmission services.
- Knowledge of U.S. Money Transmission Laws is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
- Excellent people management and collaborative skills.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition.
- Experience with Netsuite ERP and data warehouse systems is preferred.

The pay range for this role in the US San Francisco Bay Area is $96,000 - $168,000 annually.
