Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Burlingame, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and adherence to company policies.
Manage accounts payable workflows using accounting software systems such as Concur.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and other payment methods.
Maintain accurate records of accrual accounting activities and prepare reports as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency in accounts payable processes.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Respond to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes. Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Concur.
Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles.
Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards.
Experience handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Strong communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.
