Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced organization by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in Oracle, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a strong ability to collaborate with both customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute customer invoices with precision, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Record and process diverse payment types, including wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions, within Oracle systems.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
Review and prepare aging reports to identify overdue accounts, recommending appropriate follow-up actions.
Conduct regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate records and financial reporting.
Collaborate with the accounting team during month-end and year-end closings to provide detailed documentation and insights.
Organize and maintain documentation related to transactions and customer communications for easy retrieval and reference.
Apply advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze financial data and create actionable reports.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy within the accounts receivable department. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
Proficiency in Oracle systems and familiarity with ERP platforms.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing functions.
Experience in handling cash activity and payment processing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
