Description We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Berkeley, California, for a contract position supporting our mission-driven non-profit organization. This role focuses on assisting homeless Veterans and their families in securing stable housing and employment through case management and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, detail-oriented, and experienced in administrative coordination.
Responsibilities:
Manage client intake processes, conduct eligibility assessments, and maintain accurate electronic case files.
Provide outreach services to homeless Veterans while maintaining an active caseload.
Deliver comprehensive case management services, emphasizing housing placement and employment opportunities.
Collaborate with clients to develop individualized service plans and budget strategies.
Build and sustain relationships with landlords while working closely with Housing Specialists.
Coordinate access to services such as VA enrollment, employment assistance, and benefits navigation.
Facilitate weekly client meetings to discuss progress on goals, financial planning, and vocational development.
Support housing retention efforts by connecting clients with community resources and promoting self-sufficiency.
Handle crisis intervention and ensure precise documentation and reporting of all activities.
Co-facilitate housing clinics and participate in team-based activities to enhance program effectiveness. Requirements - Proven experience with administrative tools such as ADP, CRM systems, and Concur.
Strong skills in calendar management, budget processes, and communication.
Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and provide intensive case management.
Familiarity with outreach strategies and experience in engaging diverse populations.
Knowledge of housing resources and employment services for low-income individuals.
Proficient in timely data entry and maintaining confidentiality standards.
Skilled in handling inbound calls and coordinating services effectively.
Experience with platforms such as Cisco Webex Meetings for virtual collaboration. TalentMatch®
