Space Force MUOS Software DSP Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: \$61.26-\$66.26/Hour

**This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position

based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)**

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and

technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, testing, and enhancement of advanced

software and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) solutions supporting ground-to-satellite communications for global defense missions.

• Assist in the maintenance and evolution of a live system while

integrating new capabilities and replacing end-of-life components.

• Apply DSP algorithms and software design techniques to deliver

high-performance communication services in extreme environments such as urban terrain, mountains, jungles, and the Arctic.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to ensure

system performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Participate in the full software lifecycle including requirement

analysis, design, implementation, integration, and verification.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Software Engineering or a related Science,

Engineering, or Mathematics field required.

• 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master\'s degree with 3+

years.

• U.S. Citizenship required by Federal Law.

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance required.

• Proven ability to execute DSP development processes and apply

signal processing techniques.

• Strong knowledge of **technical standards, methodologies, and

software lifecycle practices**.

• Experience working in Agile development environments preferred.

• Preferred Skills:

• Solid foundation in DSP and communications theory.
• Experience with high-performance computing platforms and

architectures.
