This position can be fully on-site or a minimum of three days working in
the Scottsdale facilityThe Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) team under our Space, Cyber &
Intelligence Systems (SC&I) line of business, assists in the management and operation of the orbiting satellites through the deployment of the MUOS ground system.MUOS covers everywhere, supporting warfighters worldwide on patrol in
hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.The system includes four ground station facilities positioned worldwide,
each equipped with three freestanding antennas that act like cellphone switches, receiving radio calls relayed through the MUOS satellites. Our efforts provide the user-entry and integrated ground segments for the system, which will replace the military\'s current narrowband tactical communications system.Responsibilities:
As an Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer, you\'ll be a
member of a cross functional team responsible for development and test of specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments,- Develop, evolve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines: Automating
- Infrastructure management: Automating and managing the
- Ensuring security integration: Implementing security automated
- Collaboration: Working closely with development, operations, and
- Scripting and coding: Writing scripts and code to automate processes
- Continuous improvement: Continuously looking for ways to improve
- Driving cloud solutions to realize benefits: Leverage cloud (ie.
Qualifications:
- **U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense
- Bachelor\'s degree in Software Engineering or STEM and 5+ years of
Proficieny with C++
- Experience working with, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO),
- Experience with building and deploying Kubernetes PODs and
- Experience with DevSecOps (Gitlab, GitlabRunner, SAST, DAST,
Container technologies such as Docker, or Kubernetes
- Deployment of CI/CD technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or
- Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized
- Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform
- A Plus if Experience with Longhorn, Argo, ArgoCD, Keycloak,
A Plus if Experience with bash, Python or other scripting languages
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key
- Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such
- Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure
- Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, with
- Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or
- Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software
- Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers
