Space Force MUOS TTC Systems Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: \$65.73-\$70.73/Hour

**This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position

based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)**

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and

technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development, testing, enhancement, and sustainment of

ground-to-satellite communication systems used by U.S. Space Force and other defense missions.

• Define, develop, and document system architectures, behavioral

models, and interfaces.

• Lead or contribute to the creation and review of system requirements

and verification test plans.

• Participate in the design, integration, and testing of telemetry,

tracking, and commanding (TT&C) hardware and software.

• Troubleshoot communication links between ground systems and

satellites, including encryption and digital error correction methods.

• Script automated tools or processes using Perl, Python, and

modern programming languages.

• Help maintain live operational systems and support future

enhancements and hardware refresh initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science,

Engineering, or Mathematics field required.

• 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master\'s degree with 3+

years of experience.

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

• Hands-on experience with digital and RF systems, including test

equipment.

• Proven ability to lead systems engineering integration and test

activities.

• Familiarity with telemetry and encryption technologies.

• Experience applying systems engineering methodologies and technical

standards.

• Scripting experience with Perl, Python, or modern software

languages.

• Agile development experience preferred.
