Overview
The Analyst will be responsible for tracking and monitoring Gas transmission data entries in GasOps IQ. This includes proper oversight and quality control on the field data entries inputted into the database. The analyst will review, process, and develop reports through GasOps IQ. The analyst must be able to make decisions independently and render sound business decisions as issues arise. Coordinate with Major Projects and Transmission Maintenance groups as necessary for support and data quality. Maintain tracking of scheduled field activities on any ongoing transmission main work.Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities- Track and monitor critical transmission main work data through GasOps IQ.
- Review data quality entered in GasOps IQ and coordinate with the field personnel appropriately for data corrections.
- Supports Gas Transmission Project & Maintenance team in developing reports, dashboards, program tracking, and optimization related to critical transmission work.
- Assist with creating a central repository of all welding specifications, maintenance reports, and any welding related data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective strategic and tactical adjustments in response to data quality in GasOps IQ.
- Work with vendor(s) supporting different internal applications and track proposed enhancements.
- Coordinate with Major Projects, Transmission Maintenance and Construction on transmission work as needed.
- Possess a working knowledge of applicable Company and Departmental Specifications and the ability to interpret such regulations and specifications.
- Identify process automation opportunities using data analytics and technology to provide efficiencies and create data transparency.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years full time related experience or
- Associate's Degree and 4 years full time related experience.
- Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Required
- Must possess work experience in data mining, data analytics, and data visualization. Required
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to evaluate risks and trends. Required
- Must possess excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills. Required
- Service oriented with a passion for data and problem solving. Required
- Must have experience with visualization and/or Business Intelligence tools such as Excel, Tableau, Oracle BI and/or Power BI. Required
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, R. Preferred
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
- Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
- Driver's License Required
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- Ability to read small print and symbols
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Ability to respond to system emergencies.
- Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
