Responsibilities
In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Healthcare, the Anesthesia Technician Level 2 (AT 2) is to assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. The AT 2 prepares and cleans patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia. The tasks of the AT 2 include but are not limited to:
- Providing support for anesthesia cases by assisting in the preparation of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
- Performing first-level troubleshooting and maintenance of anesthesia delivery systems.
- Sterilizing and disinfecting anesthesia equipment, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock in all anesthesia machines and the AWS.
- Under the direct supervision of the circulating RN, assisting with direct and indirect patient care activities, which may include cleaning the OR suites and obtaining and putting away supplies and equipment.
- Assisting in the delivery of patient care by transporting patients, moving and positioning, prepping patients, transporting specimens, and transporting blood products.

When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor, and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
Qualifications
The Anesthesia Technician 2 position is a mid-level position. One year of Anesthesia Technician 1 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience is required. Must complete Anesthesia Tech II curriculum within one year of hire or transfer to position.
Minimum:
- High school diploma or GED.
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred:
- CERTIFIED SURGERY TECH (CT ORT)
Pay Range
$41.54 - $51.04 /hour
