Microsoft Software Developer - Indianapolis, Indiana
Responsibilities:
- Designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting complex software applications.
- Supporting clients’ critical business functions through development, architectural design, implementation, and integration work.
- Providing expertise to multiple projects using various technologies.

- Experience using industry-standard tools to manage the development workflow.
- Strong communication skills to work successfully in a team environment.
- Ability to develop applications using service-oriented approaches/frameworks to integrate with business partners.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with the .NET framework.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Skill for writing reusable C# libraries.
- Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as Nancy.
- Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) and/or Windows Communication Framework (WCF).
- Knack for writing clean, readable code.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Subversion (SVN), and Mercurial (Hg).
- Familiarity with continuous integration.
