Position Purpose: Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Director of Stewardship is responsible for acknowledging, recognizing, and stewarding gifts to Whitman College. This includes managing donor communications, impact reporting, and maintaining best practices in stewardship.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Donor Stewardship (75%): Write personalized acknowledgment letters, manage stewardship of scholarship endowments, develop and implement stewardship plans, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and produce impact reports.
- Administrative Duties (15%): Compile scholarship recipient data, prepare materials for annual reports, support administrative tasks, and engage in professional development.
- Copywriting (10%): Assist in writing and editing solicitation and promotional materials for development efforts.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Exceptional written communication skills, ability to gather and interpret information, and demonstrate knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions effectively.
