- Coordinate and communicate with various project stakeholders to
- Composure and diplomatic problem solving
- Analyze applicable codes, standards, and specifications for
- Perform general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction
- Measure, calculate, and report installed quantities
- Monitor materials sampling and testing schedules
- Monitor and analyze progress of contractors work
- Maintain various reports
- Monitor and lead inspection team
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- 5+ years experience working with Chicago DOT, IDOT, Illinois
- Certifications including IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities
- GPS knowledge a plus
- Illinois PE license preferred
- A sense of humor
Salary Range: \$90,000 - \$115,000. Individual pay will be based on
