Pay Range: $55 - $63/Hour
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics contractor to join our research data science team. The candidate will support research oncology projects.
- Programming and troubleshooting of bioinformatics analysis workflow.
- Performing the analysis of multiple high-throughput omics data sets, including scRNASeq, TCR-Seq, WES, ATAC-Seq, and proteomics.
- Performing biological signatures and pathways analysis.
- Curation of gene signatures and pathways from literature or public domains.
- Other bioinformatics analysis in support of research oncology projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer sciences, or closely related fields.
- Prior working experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- The candidate should have fundamental knowledge in cancer biology and immunology.
- The candidate should have general knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Strong programming skills such as R, Perl, or Python.
- Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools and packages to analyze large omics data, e.g., TCGA, GTEx, CCLE DepMap, is required.
- The candidate should be able to work semi-independently and possess effective communication skills, a proactive working attitude, and a strong work ethic.
