We are always seeking qualified Behavior Analysts who are dedicated to helping others and making a difference in a child's life. This position is salaried exempt, with a pay range between $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience. Alternatively, it can be structured as an hourly nonexempt role for part-time employment.
Job Description
Steps Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive programs to enhance a child’s independence. By combining highly-trained behavior therapists, transparent data collection, and developmentally appropriate programming, we create trustworthy programs with evident results. Our services are primarily in San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, San Mateo, Foster City, and Redwood City.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of 1:1 home or school-based intensive behavioral therapy.
- Design individualized lessons and behavior plans targeting developmental needs and reducing challenging behaviors.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies including discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training, and verbal behavior.
- Facilitate social skills training.
- Monitor progress, analyze data, and intervene as needed.
- Update documentation to ensure program fidelity.
- Communicate with team and families regarding progress and interventions.
- Attend team meetings and professional workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
- Complete progress reports on schedule.
- Maintain punctuality, schedule adherence, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other Behavior Analysts to ensure program continuity and quality.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) license required.
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in ABA, program design, and supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Team player with collaborative mindset.
- Satisfactory background check required.
