Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Business Analyst:
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into functional and data transformation specifications.
- Analyze and interpret complex insurance-related data, including premium calculations, policy definitions, and claims processes.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and Source-to-Target Mapping documents.
- Define data requirements and business transformation logic to be used in DBT and Informatica.
- Conduct workshops and meetings to gather and validate business requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide guidance to developers and testers to ensure proper implementation of business logic in ETL processes.
Required Skills for Business Analyst:
- Strong domain knowledge of insurance, particularly in policy processing and claims handling.
- Proficient in SQL, data analysis, and profiling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes, including the creation of mapping documents and business logic translation.
- Experience working with data transformation tools like DBT or Informatica.
- Familiarity with insurance financials, including premium calculation and transaction handling.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
