Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and aggressive Strategic Business Development Director for federal government accounts. You will work directly with federal clients, develop new project opportunities, generate leads for our sales teams, and support channel customers. We expect innovative business development strategies from you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategically position Super Micro’s products and services
- Expand existing client accounts for retention and growth
- Identify new business opportunities
- Qualify opportunities and create target lists for vertical markets
- Promote appropriate products to suitable customers
- Develop relationships and communicate product and market information
- Build superior customer service relationships with prospects and collaborate with sales teams to close deals
- Provide TTM for new product training for customers
- Conduct general sales training as scheduled or upon request from the channel sales team
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization as part of a team
- Produce necessary reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in engineering or business is highly preferred
- 12+ years of extensive product leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people management skills
- Deep knowledge of server products and architecture
- Experience with GPU, compute, and related software workloads is a plus
- Experience with AI, Deep Learning, Omniverse, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Rendering is desirable
- Proven federal government business development experience with a track record of securing and managing federal accounts and projects
- Strong business acumen, ability to build business cases, deliver professional presentations, influence others, and measure success
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate new methods, procedures, and performance standards to meet goals
- Self-motivated with a focus on achieving and measuring established goals
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal staff, and handle conflicts effectively
Salary Range:
$155,000 - $190,000
The offered salary depends on factors such as location, level, education, training, skills, experience, and internal comparison. Candidates may also be eligible for bonus and equity programs alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
