Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Lead complex engagements in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and performance improvement.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing strategic and technical guidance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of consultants and accountants.
- Partner with senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives and firm-wide goals.
- Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory changes.
- Promote a culture of integrity, professionalism, and excellence.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Participate in performance evaluations and staff development planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting or an accounting role within a small/local government with increasing responsibility.
- CPA license (or in progress) OR, if no CPA, at least 10 years of management experience.
- Supervisory experience with direct reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) required.
- Experience with Caseware and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, Tyler Munis, Incode) preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
