Description We are looking for a dedicated Capital Projects Accounting Supervisor to oversee the financial and budgetary operations of multiple capital programs in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves managing complex, multi-year capital initiatives alongside annual capital programs to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities:
Supervise the financial and budgetary aspects of multi-year and annual capital programs, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies or issues to maintain program compliance.
Manage and maintain the computerized general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Prepare detailed monthly financial reports for capital projects to support decision-making.
Implement and uphold internal controls and standardized processes to ensure fiscal integrity.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities related to capital projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address billing, auditing, and other accounting-related functions.
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational financial policies. Requirements - Proven experience with accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and auditing.
Proficiency in using accounting software systems such as ADP, Concur, and ERP platforms.
Strong understanding of budgeting principles and financial reporting for capital projects.
Ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies with attention to detail.
Experience in maintaining internal controls and standardized accounting processes.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
